Encode URL components and inspect URLs
Apply encodeURIComponent rules to parameter values and inspect a full URL’s protocol, host, path and query parameters.
How to use
  1. Enter a parameter value in the codec.
  2. Copy the result without encoding existing percent escapes again.
  3. Use the parser for a full address including its protocol.

Value: a b&c
Encoded: a%20b%26c
URL example: https://example.com/search?q=hello#results
Capabilities and limits
  • Encoding targets components, so it also encodes colons and slashes in a complete URL.
  • Decoding does not automatically treat a form-encoded + as a space.
Troubleshooting
Malformed percent escapes fail decoding. Full URL parsing requires a protocol such as https://.

Encoding and parsing are local, do not visit the entered URL and do not automatically save input.
