Tool guide
Export RSA keys as PEM
Generate RSA key pairs using browser Web Crypto, exporting the public key as SPKI and the private key as PKCS#8 PEM.
How to use
- Choose the key size and wait for generation.
- Copy or download each key and check the destination’s expected format.
Example and expected result
Public header: -----BEGIN PUBLIC KEY-----
Private header: -----BEGIN PRIVATE KEY-----
Every generation creates different keys.Capabilities and limits
- The exported private PEM is not passphrase-encrypted.
- PUBLIC KEY and RSA PUBLIC KEY are different container formats.
Troubleshooting
Check HTTPS and Web Crypto support on failure. For import errors, compare the destination’s requirements with PKCS#8/SPKI.
Data processing and storage
Keys are generated in the browser without automatic saving. Protect downloaded private keys; reloading generates a new pair.
